Benefit Feeling Dandy Kit - $28 USD
During my recent trip to Brisbane (click here to see my full haul!) I was of course obliged to stock up on brand new makeup! I made a bee-line towards one of my new favourite brands - benefit - to pick up the Dandelion skin brightening blush I had been hearing about. After having a quick scan over the beautiful products available, I spotted ‘Feelin’ Dandy’, a small kit including some very coveted items, plus the blush I was dying to try out!
The kit includes High Beam, Posie Tint, Dandelion Blush and Dandelion Lip gloss. While I was not particularly excited about the lip gloss included in the kit, the other products featured made me giddy with joy.
High Beam - the first on the list, is a highly sought after highlighter, which has a beautiful liquid consistency. It is easy to apply, but be warned! In my eyes, a little of this goes a long way. You don’t want to over do it and end up looking like a shiny disco ball! I like to apply this on my cheekbones above where I apply blush. Also, if I want to feel extra special, I sometimes use it on my clavicles and décolletage area.
Posie Tint - this poppy coloured tint is almost as famous as it’s older sister Bene-tint. I turn to Bene-tint during the colder months, but I feel like Posie Tint is a lovely softer shade that suits the spring season. You can use this product on cheeks for that just-pinched glow, or on lips for an understated lasting stain.
Dandelion Blush - Funnily enough, this isn’t my favourite product of the box! It doesn’t seem like much on it’s own. That being said, this blush looks absolutely fantastic over top of Posie Tint, and helps set the stain to last all day.
Dandelion Lip Gloss - I am not a big fan of these type of lip glosses, and I normally stick to lacquers and lipsticks for a lasting and pigmented finish. However, on “no-makeup” makeup days (of which I have a few every month, and sometimes every Sunday!) this pinky gloss slides on effortlessly for a slightly shimmery look. I mainly use this over Posie Tint as well, and I love the understated look.
Do you have any of the products in the ‘Feelin’ Dandy’ Kit? What are your thoughts on them?
