Well orange you peachy!

I know, I should stop with puns. But in my opinion it’s the highest form of humour. I once sent ten different puns to friends, with the hope that at least one of the puns would make them laugh.  Unfortunately, no pun in ten did. Ha!

Anywho, onto my colour themed post. Today’s theme is, you guessed it, ORANGE :)

I always used to shy away from the colour orange, especially with makeup! I didn’t think it suited my skin tone. Well, even if it doesn’t suit me, it slowly grew on me to my collection grew and grew. Here are some of my favourites!

Three amazing lipsticks, all in very different orange tones! From left to right are Revlon in Orange Flip, Sportsgirl in All About Me and Lime Crime in Babette. Babette does look a bit pinker toned, but it’s still more coral than pink when you compare it to pinker lipsticks.

Another lip product is the Editorial Orange Lip Palette by MAC. To see a previous review on this product check it out here. The two colours I’ve been using most are Crosswires and Morange. Love them!

One of my favourite foundations and go-to face coverage is Rimmel London Wake Me Up Foundation. It’s a great shade for my skin tone when it’s a touch darker and blends so well!

When I am in need of a little more sun protection, or a little less colour, I tend to use this BB Cream above all others. I think it’s perfect for porcelain looking skin!

When you’re feeling peachy, it’s time to break out the bright nails! I love using vibrant colours on my nails, especially my toes!

This is about as orange as my blush choices go, but this coral coloured blush by Rimmel London is perfect for that peachy glow!

As always, some books and decorative pieces! Garfield the Cat was my HERO when I was younger, probably due to his disdain for Mondays and our mutual love of lasagne. Has anyone read the books pictured? I loved all three!

Stay Minty!

  1. I love that sinful colours nail polish and the Rimmel blush - use them all the time :) another great lipstick is tutti Frutti lip butter from Revlon it’s orange but because it’s sheer it’s much less scary! :)

    • I think it’s actually China Glaze, but the bottles are SUPER similar! I’ve heard so many good things about Tutti Frutti, but I’ve yet to find it! It’s always sold out! :(

  2. Lovely post :) Orange is definitely my favourite colour but I’ve always shyed away from orange tones in makeup too. I should probably try some out before I judge, eh? Love the puns! :)
