August Favourites 2014

P1110490August seems to have flown by so quickly! I feel like I say that every month, but it really is true! I’ve been trying a couple of new products this month, as well as maintaining the same favourites from last month as well.

My hair this month - brought to you by Fudge Paintbox in Turquoise Blue (RRP $9.99). This lasted so well, despite a lot of people warning me that blue hair fades the quickest. I found it held up really well and didn’t turn my hair green! Fudge is one of my two most trusted hair colour dyes (especially for brights and pastels).

I’ve been using the Cetaphil Cleanser for All Skin Types (RRP $10.99 125mL) to try and calm my face the eff down. I’ve had a major hormonal break out due to some changes to my medications, so I am trying to keep my skincare routine calming and very stripped back. I think it’s definitely improving my skin (bar the existing break outs) and it’s so gentle and doesn’t strip the skin of it’s natural oils, whilst still keeping everything clean and balanced.

Another skin care item that has been necessary this month is the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo Plus (RRP $27.99). I’ve haven’t been able to feel a difference between this one and the original. It’s still pretty much the same formula of good quality spot treatment that isn’t overly drying of the skin. It’s slowly been combatting my spots but new ones keep appearing! (Curses!)

I’ve been digging through my collection of samples in August and I found the John Plunkett Super Wrinkle Cream (RRP $29.95) is a welcome find! I can’t believe I looked over this one and tucked it away! It’s been great for my skin this month and I am looking forward to trying more from John Plunkett.

I have been wearing Nyx Butter Lipstick in Hunk (RRP $9.99) & Nyx Butter Gloss in Devil’s Food Cake (RRP $9.99) together pretty much all month and I’ve been loving it. I am almost not ready to let this go now that it’s Spring :( I think Hunk on it’s own is easily transferrable between seasons, but I am not too sure about Devil’s Food Cake, it might be a little fall/winter for Spring (at least in the day time).

My two favourite bases are still the same from my July Favourites, Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream (RRP $15.95) and L’Oreal Infallible Foundation* (RRP $31.95). I find rotating between these two works well for either an easy, natural look or a night-time full coverage look.

What have been your favourites this month?

I got the John Plunkeet product at a blogger event and still haven’t try it out yet, I think I should give it a go soon! I also want to try out the Loreal foundation, sounds promising. Great faves lovely :)
