I haven’t done a Face of the Day in ages so I thought it was high time I delivered! You’ve probably seen me don a similar looks to this one of late on Instagram, because I literally can’t get enough of it. The essence of it is a matte face, thick mod-ish eyeliner and bright lips. It might be a little bold for some but I have been embracing it and thoroughly enjoying rocking this look at least three times a week! I thought I would do a post showing the products I used and doing some mini-reviews/first impressions!10362855_10152519213975802_3987518131738001915_n

Rimmel London BB Cream Matte in Light*

I’ve been super excited about seeing this new product pop up everywhere, as I am a huge fan of the Rimmel Stay Matte line. This BB Cream smells exactly like the Wake Me Up Foundation by Rimmel (one of the best drugstore foundations of 2013 for me) and applies smoothly and easily. The shade is pretty much perfect for my skin and it has pretty substantial coverage for a BB Cream. More to come on this product, watch this space!

Revlon Colorstay Blemish Concealer in Light

I recently repurchased this concealer after trying out others and I think I have to say this is my all time favourite. It’s so creamy, blends easily and doesn’t cake up my blemishes.

Benefit ‘Feelin’ Dandy’ Kit

From this kit I used the Dandelion Blush on it’s own, and I’ve hit pan on this product. Gah! It’s such a lovely understated colour when you need just a little bit of colour, without looking overdone.

Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette

I used Tease for my brows (I am not sure I like it today, it was a touch too light. I normally use MAC Omega as my brow powder of choice). I then used Bootycall, Half Baked and Chopper for my eyes.

E.L.F. Clear 2-in-1 Mascara

I picked this clear brow gel up that has another side for clear mascara (different wand) and the side I am using has turned brown - ick! On the plus side, I have a whole other product to use on the other side! Win win! And great quality for the price.

Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Liner Pen

My go-to liner pen of the moment. I know I go on and on about the tip of this felt liner but… THE TIP! It’s super fine and easy as to draw the line. I tried a thicker, mod type wing today for fun, and I like how it turned out!

Rimmel London Scandaleyes Rockin’ Curves Mascara in Blackest Black*

I am not the biggest fan of Rimmel’s mascaras from previous purchases, but this one is definitely the best that they’ve released. It made my lashes a little spidery for my taste, but a lot of people really love this look (from what I can tell*).

Revlon Lacquer Balm in Whimsical

One of my Revlon balms (swatches next week!) that is probably my most worn! It gives such a shiny, pop of colour that brightens every cloudy day!

What have you been wearing everyday?

*I am not trying to be catty here! I know that lots of people aim for this look, and others end up with it accidentally. It’s not my preference but if you want to rock it you go for it gurl!

Oh I love Benefit so much… I wish I could have ALL THE PRODUCTS. They’re also so pretty to look at! That Revlon lip colour is gorgeous! Really suits you :)

Me too! I only have They’re Real mascara and that kit pretty much. They are quite pricey in Australia :( And thank you, I love this lip colour so I am flattered you think so :) Xo

I actually have very little high end products in my collection, apart from the occasional palette or eyeshadow :) It just makes a lot more sense and is nicer on my purse! :)
