Review: Marc Jacobs Pink Honey

When Marc Jacobs Pink Honey Eau De Parfum Spray* (RRP $99) landed on my doorstep I was over the moon! I have a pretty sizeable collection of Marc Jacobs perfumes (post pending!) and Pink Honey was next on my list, especially with Spring just around the corner. This perfume is simply new pink packaging of the amazing scent of Marc Jacobs Honey. The release for this one is set for September 2014.

What Marc Jacobs Says

This fresh pink colour palette with classic polka dot design has the same sweet, floral juice as Honey. Its signature cap and butterfly icons makes it a perfect addition to the collectable Marc Jacobs fragrances.

What The Minted Beauty Says

This scent is light, fresh and not overly floral. The base notes of vanilla, wood and honey make for a smooth, warm finish that lasts throughout the day. The packaging is gorgeous, the same as previous by Marc Jacobs Dot & Honey, but in a crisp, pink packaging.

This will perfume is only going to appeal to you if any of the following is true:

a) you never tried Honey and now you are interested
b) are a sucker for collector’s items; or
c) you have run out of MJ Honey and would like to replace it.

Top notes include Mandarin, Fruit Punch & Pear

Heart notes include Orange Blossom, Peach & Honeysuckle

Base notes include Honey, Vanilla & Woods.

Have you tried Marc Jacobs Honey or Pink Honey? What were your thoughts?

This is definitely on my ‘to smell’ list! I have the original and love it. This sounds like a lovely, fruity twist on the original that will be perfect for Spring which is not far away :)

Hi love - I am pretty certain this one is exactly the same as the original, so I wouldn’t bother picking it up. It will smell exactly the same hehe :)

      • Christine

Really? Well poo to that then lol ;)

        • Kate Flint

Haha yeah - just new packaging. I never actually purchased the original Honey and I prefer this packaging. Great for those people who have used up their original and for those of us who didn’t purchase the original :)

I have smelt both and Pink Honey does smell a tiny bit different - very simialr though, as you said! xx

        • Kate Flint

I read somewhere that someone said the fruit punch was more prevalent in this one than the original, so maybe there is a small difference there? I don’t know how true that is though :)

  • Jasmine Huston

I already have Honey so I would feel weird grabbing this. But, it’s so pretty and it’s limited edition so I am going to buy it anyway. Hahaha.

    • Kate Flint

Apparently they smell a wincy bit different so there’s that! I think they have the same notes, but maybe different stronger notes? :)

This is the cutest bottle. I’ve going to have to have a ‘whiff’ of this one!

It is a cute bottle! Similar to Dot if you’ve seen that one too, super cute :)

  • Annabel

I love the original Honey & think it would take a lot to beat it. Love the cute bottle though!

From what I can tell they are just repackaging the Honey in pink bottles for limited edition :)

Me too! I think my favourite is still the original Daisy though :) (packaging and scent wise). So classic :)
