The latest mascara to hit the drugstore scene is Rimmel London Wonder’full Mascara with Argan Oil. You heard me, Argan Oil! First our hair, then our skin and now our lashes? I approached this mascara with some hesitation..would it make my lashes an oily mess? Hell naw!
What Rimmel London Says
The secret weapon to full volume without clumps. Formula with Argan Oil leaves lashes feeling smooth & conditioned. Ultra-flex brush gives ultimate definition. Clumps killed. Full lashes revealed.
What The Minted Beauty Says
Rimmel London has really knocked this one out of the park. It’s a super smooth formula that really conditions your lashes. There is no ‘crunchy’ feel to your lashes after the mascara dries (which means no flaking or clumping!) but it sets nicely and doesn’t smudge easily. The packaging is attractive, a good sized wand and easy-to-manage brush head (no fumbling around with a giant brush, or fiddling with a teensy tiny one).
The best thing I love about this mascara is the volume it creates. I have fairly long lashes as it is (not amazingly long) but this mascara is all about the volume (that’s volume, not bass). It creates a glossy, winged effect with massive volume at the roots right to the tip.
The other notable significance and the point of difference with this mascara, compared to others, is the bendable wand. As shown in the photo above, you can see it’s definitely easy to bend, which can really grab your lashes from the root and wing it right up to the ends with little to no effort at all. I love me a plastic brush head and this one is a similar shape to the Max Factor Clump Defy False Lash Effect Mascara (one of my favourites) but there are more bristles towards the middle of the head, as opposed to the ends.
My only qualm with this mascara is the lack of bristles on the very tip. I love mascara wands to have tip bristles, as it makes getting those inner corner lashes so much easier. It’s still easily doable, but not quite as effortless as other wands, like Benefit They’re Real Mascara’s wand, which has a mace-like tip.
Have you tried this mascara? What were your thoughts?
