Top 5 Fall Nail Polishes

On April 25, 2014 by Kate

Yet another Top 5 collection, and today we are getting in the fall spirit :) Autumn officially hit the Southern Hemisphere in March, and even though in my area it’s not all too festive feeling (still topping about 28 degrees Celsius in my area) I still love the seasonal colours of fall (even in the spring/summer). I’ve tried not to include any discontinued lines so you can find these to buy yourself!

OPI Nail Lacquer in Call me Gwen-ever - RRP $19.95

Although it’s bright, I’ve been loving Call me Gwen-ever from the OPI Spiderman collection. This orange-red matches my tartan skirt from Supre really well (yep, been wearing this one to death too) and it really revs up an all-black ensemble. I got this one from the Reject Shop for $6, so if you have one in your area, hit them up before they all sell!

Revlon Parfumerie™ Scented Nail Enamel in Bordeaux - RRP $15.95

I was somewhat skeptical over scented nail polishes, but I am quite a fan of this burgundy spicy scent. Fall isn’t fall without a burgundy, and the added bonus of a spicy, autumnal scent is too good to pass up this season!

OPI Nail Lacquer in I Just Spotted the Lizard - RRP $19.95

This is another recent purchase from The Reject Shop for only $6 (!) and I love the chameleon fall colours of it! It’s also an exact dupe for Chanel Peridot, which is pretty amazing. It takes a couple of coats for me to getting it looking amazing but the finished product is well worth it!

Essie Matte About It - RRP $16.95

One look I have been loving this season is plain, well shaped nails, with a matte top coat. I use Essie Matte About It, and although my poor polish looks quite beat up (it came all the way from Germany!) it is well loved in my collection. The matte look makes me feel super cosy and chic.

Essie Ladylike - RRP $16.95

This is a staple for me year round because I love it so much, but it is also particularly lovely as the weather cools down. It’s less of a neon, springy pink and gives any look a softness to it. This is another that looks really great with my fall wardrobe without being too dramatic.

Hope you enjoyed my Top 5 picks for Fall Nails. What is your favourite fall nail colour?

Stay Minty!

  • This post is good timimg as I’ve been interested in getting a matte top coat. I was looking at the Sally Hansen one online yesterday.

I have most of the Autumn colours I want except one - I want a kind of ‘shimmery rust colour’ is the best way I can think of describing it. I’ve found a few but still looking for the perfect one. It’s a case of ‘you’ll know it when you see it’ I suppose (I’m a bit pedantic like that!)

    • I haven’t tried the Sally Hansen Matte top coat yet, but their new glossy one is amazing! Ah the search for the perfect nail colour is always a challenge. Hope you find the one you are looking for!

  • These are gorgeous, I can’t figure out which one I like best!

  • Love these picks! The first one is my favourite cause it’s not too dark ;)

    • It’s a beauty! Some burgundies can look too black, so it was nice to find a nice berry shade that looks true to colour! Xo
