REVIEW: L’Oreal Nude Magique CC Creams

In a recent haul, I found a new favourite product in the L’Oreal Anti-Dullness Nude Magique CC Cream (purple shade). I found it gave me even, dewy coverage and really brightened up my complexion, and couldn’t wait to review it.

After I posted the haul I was contacted by L’Oreal asking if I would like to try their other Nude Magique CC Creams (which were sold out in my home town). Of course, I jumped at the chance!

I think the packaging of the Nude Magique range is amazing. A squeeze tube means you can get all the product out and no remaining liquid will be wasted (a pet hate of mine). I love the shiny metallic purple theme and each colour of Correct Cream has the colour of the product faded towards the top.

The general formula for these CC Creams are quite thin and easy to work with. A little goes a long way with this product! Each CC Cream begins as the colour corrector shown on the pack (green, purple or orange) and then blends to a creamy beige colour with that undertone to correct problem areas of skin. The coverage is not 100% flawless, but really creates a smooth, even-toned base. I can use these products without any additional foundation, although I do like to use a powder to set the product.

This purple formula eliminates yellow, dull skin. I love the look of this over my nose and upper cheeks. I find it really brightens up my face and I got a few compliments on my ‘glow’ that day.

L’Oreal Nude Magique CC Cream in Anti-Redness*

Using green tones to neutralise redness is not completely new, but I really loved using this type of toned down green tone over my problem areas of acne. I did have to blend quite a bit but the result was lovely. I am definitely incorporating this into my regular routine!

L’Oreal Nude Magique CC Cream - Anti-Fatigue*

I felt like this one was too orange for my complexion. I only used it around purple-ish areas of skin, but it still showed too orange. If you have are lucky enough to have olive skin, definitely give this one a swatch at the store!

For the majority of people I think these CC Creams will work wonderfully, either on their own or with another foundation or BB Cream to add coverage. The only gripe I have is that they aren’t available in a wide variety of colours. These may be way too dark for porcelain skin ladies, and far too light for darker skinned women. If you can, do a swatch of a tester in your store before purchasing. For those with light-to-medium skin tones, definitely try out the green and purple products, both are amazing!

I hope you enjoyed this review. Have you tried any of the Nude Magique range by L’Oreal? What were your thoughts?

Stay Minty!

  1. I haven’t tried these yet - how bizarre that they come out of the tube a completely different colour. Imagine if you tried a tester and wasn’t expecting that lol.
I agree that the last one is a bit orange looking but I like the look of the other two. Another one to add to my ever growing list of products to try :)

    • That happened to me, but I love how it does that! I have been using the green and purple every day for about a week or two and they are just fantastic! Thanks for reading :) Xx

  2. These look super neat! A shame they don’t come in a huge variety of colours, I’m still going to check them out in store anyway and hopefully the anti-redness one will be light enough for me! *fingers crossed!*

    • Hopefully they will be light enough for you! If it is slightly dark you can always pop a foundation over the top. I’ve been doing this for work days when I need extra covereage and it is great :) Let me know how you go!

  3. Oh wow these are soooo dark?! I have pale skin so these wouldn’t work on me :( what a shame.. they need to cater for more skin tones! xx

    • I agree, they are quite dark, especially the orange toned cream. I think maybe because these are for colour correcting they can be used underneath foundation, so you might be able to get away with it. You wouldn’t want your foundation to wear off and leave you with big patches of unmatched colour though :( Hopefully they will see the need for more colour variety in their collection because they are lovely to use.
