You might be familiar with Ponche, the Christmas Limited Edition shower gel at LUSH that boasts citrus and tequila as major scent notes. I received this as a present from my partner Shannon, and have been using it for morning showers, and loving it. Here is my breakdown.
What LUSH says
Spanish for punch, this shower gel is inspired by the Mexican fruit punch made from seasonal fruits such as plums, oranges, cinnamon and vanilla. All ingredients that can help warm and stimulate the senses. Wash your hair and body with this fruity, softening shower gel and lift your spirits and get into party mode - there’s even a dash of tequila to give it a little kick and add some festive cheer!
Packaging
The same as most shower gels, it has a hard, clear plastic bottle, so you can see when you are going to run out. LUSH’s signature black label with white letters is one that is unique and famous. I am a happy lady when I see more of these labels in my shower than others
Formula/Scent
This scent is very uplifting and energising. The orange/citrus scent is very powerful, and I can’t quite smell the tequila, but there is something alcoholic about it (not in a “this is going to dry my skin out” way, but more of a “I kind of want a cocktail right now” way.) The gel lathers easily in a shower puff or hands, and the colour doesn’t stain skin or your bathroom. Always a plus!
Price
Most shower gels at LUSH are around the same price, and I find using a shower puff lengthens the amount of time your shower gels last. Extra lather for less product is always a win. This bottle of 250mL cost $12.95. At the moment there are currently 100mL bottles on sale for only $3.97 - that’s half price! Grab it while you can!
Additional Thoughts
I am a huge fan of Mexican culture, foods, drinks and scents. This shower gel is no exception. I would seriously consider buying this again next year when the festive season rolls around - great for Summer Christmases here in Oz!
Have you tried Ponche, or would you want to? How do you feel about Limited Editions for seasonal changes at LUSH?
Stay Minty!

i have not tried this one but it sounds lovely i love the smell of citrus, not a fan of tequila though so its good you cannot smell it
The Inked Blonde
I’ve had some unfortunate run-ins with Tequila, so I was pretty chuffed that it didn’t take me back to my younger years
It’s a very nice and zesty scent but for me it’s more of a Spring scent than a warm winter one :o) Xx
Makeup by Candlelight
I agree, good for us Aussie’s at Xmas time, but I couldn’t see myself reaching for this at Winter, unless I REALLY needed a pick me up :)X
Went in store to have a whiff of this one before Christmas as I love anything cinnamon scented. Couldn’t reallly smell it though so didn’t buy.
Maybe my nose is broken lol
LUSH Stores are always SO overwhelming on my nose. Sometimes I need to swab a little product and go outside to sniff Lol
I never tried anything from Lush besides the bombs.
This sounds pretty lovely.

I do love the bath ballistics and bubble bars available from LUSH, but they aren’t even my favourite products anymore! Definitely try out their hair care and shower gel range
