Colour of the Year | Radiant Orchid

Radiant Orchid
Radiant Orchid by kate-flint featuring a nail polish
I am a little late to the Radiant Orchid party, but better late than never amirite? If you hadn’t guessed from my December hair colour, I am a huge fan of purple. You might even say that I predicted this year’s Pantone Colour of the Year - Radiant Orchid! That’s a Pisces’ intuition for you :P
If you want a more subtle way to pay tribute to this year’s COY, instead of dying your hair a bright colour, here are some products to tempt you, for all bravery levels.
Easy - Butter London Nail Polish in Molly Coddled RRP $15.00. Easiest way to wear a colour in your beauty routine is to sport it on your nails! This is actually Butter London’s wink to the Pantone Colour of the Year for 2014, and is described as an ‘opaque lavender orchid cream’. Gorgeous.
Medium - Benefit Lolli-tint RRP $30. It takes a wee bit of bravery to brave a seldom seen colour on cheeks such as purple. A tint ensures that it is not too bright and won’t scare the children. Described as a candy-orchid tint.
Hard - OCC Lip Tar in Hoochie RRP $18.00. This bright magenta matte lip cream takes the cake, but requires a care-free attitude and super smooth lips. I am excited to try an OCC product, but with my recent decision to downsize, it may not happen for a little while yet :(. A girl can dream.
Hope you enjoyed my little guide. I apologise for being so quiet on the blog/vlog front. Going back to work has been a strenuous exercise and I am still finding my feet after taking a (well-deserved) four week long break.
Stay Minty!
