While I was never a huge fan of the original Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains, I haven’t been able to get enough of the Revlon Matte Balms & Revlon Lacquer Balms since I tried them out.
In the Matte Balms, I have Shameless (a dark pink-toned purple), Striking (a warm red) and Audacious (a creamy coral). These three colours are all fantastic, with creamy pigmentation and a non-drying matte formula. They feel much more moisturising than other matte formula lip products, but still have that velvety-smooth texture. Shameless can be difficult to wear (as shown with only one layer of colour) as it can be hard to get even colour all over the lips. Striking is a lot sheerer than the others as well.
In the Lacquer Balms I have just two colours, but they are so gorgeous and I wasn’t really attracted to many of the other colours available. I have Whimsical (a purple-toned fuchsia) and Vivacious (a watermelon pink) .
These balms are all infused with triple complex Shea Butter, so I am guessing that’s pretty much the reason for their awesome quality. Like the original balms, they are in a crayon-like pen that twists up more product as you need. For longevity purposes, the balms do hold their own..unless you are eating or drinking. I recommend re-applying these after lunch!
Have you tried the Matte or Lacquer Balms? Which are your favourites?
