With Spring upon us, it’s time to shed our Winter skins and lap up the much needed sunlight! Here are a couple of items that make it to my Top 5 Essentials for Spring!
There is nothing better than a swanky new fruity perfume to see in the new season (whichever it may be!). My new favourite is Marc Jacobs Pink Honey EDP* (RRP $99) and it’s a woodsy, honey scented base notes with orange blossom, vanilla and fruit punch! Yum! Check out my full review here for more info
Another necessity for Spring is a brand spankin’ new lip balm. I am a huge fan of the Nivea Lip Butter in Winter (and will still use this one in the night time) but during the day, I need a lighter and easier lip balm with a little colour pay-off. Nivea Lip Balm in Fruity Peach* (RRP $5.69) is the perfect sweet addition to your makeup purse and is enriched with Hydra IQ to keep lips moisturized for longer. It also happens to smell like a Peach Bellini cocktail - delicious!
An SPF is one of the most important steps in your skincare year round, but what better time to grab a new one? Nivea Moisturising Fluid SPF 15 (RRP $7.99) is a light moisturiser with a built in SPF, so it’s super easy to integrate into your routine. Just be sure to not wear this one at night, it can make light bounce off your face like crazy in flash photography.
A gorgeous coral-pink blush is pretty much my uniform in Spring. My go-to is my Milani Baked Blush in Rose D’Oro (RRP $15.00). This baked blush is literally going to last me forever, there is so much product and you need so little to apply. This one has a marbled effect with a golden shimmer through it, so it can really jazz up your look.
To make sure your skin is clean and super smooth, use St Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub (RRP $9.99). It’s great for exfoliation, and not as harsh as it used to be. They’ve reformulated the apricot kernels to be much finer than it was some years ago, and it’s so refreshing and has a great scent.
