Bangladeshi Bridal Makeup Tutorial
Marriage is a special occasion in any woman’s life irrespective of the place she belongs to! The same goes with the brides of Bangladesh. They go all out their clothes, makeup and jewelry.
Bangladeshi Bridal Makeup Tutorial
Bangladeshi bride’s makeup is usually very beautiful and she is often seen wearing lavish sarees on their wedding day. Their makeup has to be very special and match their lavish outfits. Green is a very commonly used eye shade in Bangladeshi bridal makeup routines.
Here’s a simple step by step tutorial on Bangladeshi bridal makeup.
Step 1: Cleansing
Clean your face completely of all the previous makeup/ oil or dirt. Or do a cleansing toning moisturizing routine and keep the moisturizer on the skin for 5/10 minutes before starting the makeup. This way the moisturizer will soak deep within the skin.
Step 2: Applying Primer
Apply a good primer or a base for your makeup. This is important as you want your makeup to stay for a long time. I have not used a primer but it is advisable to use a good base for the makeup to look good in the pictures and for long lasting effect.
Step 3: Concealer Application
Apply the concealer. Use a small brush to apply it in dots and then use the ring finger to gently pat the concealer in. Make sure you get enough of coverage around the eyes.
Step 4: Apply Black Eyeliner
Now take a creamy black eyeliner/ kohl/gel liner and apply it on the lids. The application need not be perfect as we will blend it later. Take a blending brush and blend it evenly on the lid. This will be the base for your Smokey eye
Step 5: Apply Eyeshadow
Use a flat eye shadow brush to apply the green eye shadow from the inner to the 2/3rd of the lid. Now take a blending brush and blend the two shadows together. You can add a little more of green eye shadow for more intensity. Take an angled brush and use the same green shadow to line the lower lash line till the 2/3rd way inwards. You may also use a same shaded green eyeliner pencil if you have one.
Step 6: Highlighting
Use a highlighter shade to highlight the brow bone. Also use a pencil brush to apply a bit to the inner corner of the eye too.
Step 7: Line Your Eyes
Line the eyes with a liner and apply a thin line of kohl in the lower lash line. Also curl the lashes and apply two coats of mascara. You can use some false lashes to accentuate your eyes, however it’s optional.

Step 8: Blush!
Now start applying the blush. Take a little amount of the cream blush and apply it from the apple of the cheeks to the temples. Then apply pressed powder/ loose powder to seal the blush.
Step 9: Apply Lip Balm
Now for the lips; exfoliate them using soft bristles toothbrush to gently scrub away the dead skin. Then apply a lip balm and let it seep in for 10 minutes. You can do this while you’re following the cleansing, toning and moisturizing regimen too.
Step 10: Apply Lipstick
Now blot the excess balm onto a blotting paper/ tissue and use the lip liner to fill in the lips completely. Then take the lipstick and use a lip brush to gently apply a thin layer of lipstick. Spread it out evenly on the lips. After applying the layer, bolt on a tissue and reapply once again.
Step 11: Final Look!
Use a highlighter to highlight the Cupid’s bow and use a bronzer to sculpt your face. I have skipped this step as it’s optional.
