I have been a lover of Nivea for some time, and recently I picked up a couple of new(er) products that I haven’t tried out before! I know that the Nivea In-Shower Body Lotion Skin Conditioner has been out for some time, but hey, better late than never right? 
The Nivea In-Shower Body Lotion Skin Conditioner (RRP $7.99) is “a new and more convenient way to moisturise. Now you can quickly moisturise before you even get out of the shower.” (Nivea - 2014) Now, a body conditioner is nothing new. I am a huge fan of LUSH Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner (RRP $32.50), and even made it to my Top 5 Lush Picks. But this Nivea version costs a fraction of the price! And seems to work just as well, although without that delicious rose scent.
As a self-confessed lazy moisturiser, this kind of product is perfect for me! The fact that I can stay in the nice, warm shower while I apply it is also a bonus. It is not a ‘cleanser’ as such, so you need to wash with soap or shower gel before applying this. The product was light on the skin, but still nourishing. After towel drying my skin was soft and like I had put lotion on, but without the stick residue

I’ve read reviews complaining about the packaging, but I haven’t had any problems with it not being a pump bottle. I prefer squeeze bottles in the shower because pump action tends to be a little wasteful with product. If you squeeze the product directly onto your body (legs, arms and stomach) and then recap the bottle, you have enough product and don’t need to fiddle around with the bottle again. Be careful in the shower with this one, it can make the floor a bit slippery!
I previously have used Nivea’s lip balms, in both stick and tin form, and I have always loved them. I picked up the Nivea Lip Butter in Raspberry Rose (RRP $5.69) and have been loving using this one. There is no colour pay off, but like the other lip butters in the range, provides a silky smooth, hydrating balm to soothe sore lips. According to Nivea, this contains Almond Oil and Shea Butter - pretty standard in most lip butters these days, but the fruity/slightly floral scent of this butter is what won me over.
Lastly, I picked up the Nivea THERMO Daily Warming Cleanser (RRP $9.99) purely out of curiosity, and a bit of a novelty factor. Warming you say? It is Winter…. yes. Yes I will have you. This “cleanser is enriched with Magnolia Extract” which in “rub-on skin care products, magnolia flower bud extract is used as a skin whitener and to minimise or counteract skin irritation caused by the other ingredients.“
This cleanser is marketed to help open blocked pores and has a warming effect when it comes in contact with water. To use, you need to wet your face with warm water, then dry your hands before applying the cleanser.
As I haven’t been using this cleanser long, I can’t vouch much for the results, other than the immediate. At this stage, it is still very much a novelty (and quite nice to have a warming effect in Winter!). I have always loved Nivea’s cleansers since I was a teenager, and they have always been very gentle on my skin, so it’s definitely worth a shot, even for the fun factor of having a nice, warm face!
Overall, I am pretty impressed with the new products available from Nivea.
