Recently, I received my order from Cherry Culture and I couldn’t be happier with the majority of my purchases! I have filmed a video with my sister who also ordered from Cherry Culture (you can view the video here!) but I wanted to show some swatches a bit closer and talk about some of these products that I bought.
I bought a great deal of products from Nyx, including Jumbo Eye Pencils, Jumbo Lip Pencils and Xtreme Lip Creams and some makeup brushes. I was excited to try more Nyx products because they are not readily available for me to try out, and I’ve heard they are good products for the amount of money you spent on them. At the time of the haul, they were also 30% off, which was fantastic!
1. Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencils - $4.50
The Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencils I received were in Cottage Cheese, Sparkle Nude, Horse Radish and Iced Mocha. I find these pencils really easy to use, and the product is easy to apply, and doesn’t pull on the sensitive eye area.
2. Nyx Jumbo Lip Pencils - $4.50
Next up are the Nyx Jumbo Lip Pencils. I wasn’t too impressed with the formula of these. It could be the climate I live in, but these lipsticks are very melty, and all the lids have cracked already! I am not too fussed on the colours I chose (Pink Nude, Honey Nectar & Burgundy) but Honey Nectar is a shade that I will definitely be wearing.
3. Nyx Xtreme Lip Creams - $6.00
I bought the Xtreme Lip Colours after seeing Jordy from Jordy’s Beauty Spot review them on YouTube. I was really impressed with the pigmentation and colours available, so I thought I would give them a whirl. The colours I chose were Candy Land and Strawberry Jam. I have not yet worn Candy Land, but Strawberry Jam is amazing! It’s very similar to Rimmel London Apocalips colour, although a great deal cheaper! I found it lasted through eating and most of the day with no trouble.
If you are interested seeing the makeup brushes, have a squiz at my video linked above ^^.
4. Milani Baked Blushes - $7.99
I was also interested in picking up the Milani Baked Blushes, which I saw in missglamorazzi’s recent Drugstore Haul. I chose the colours Rosa D’Oro and Fantasico Mauve. I really love the mauve blush. It’s a lovely purple berry colour which is just perfect for the cooler Winter months here in Australia. The rose blush is more of a spring/summer shade but works well for any season when applied correctly. I can’t wait to use this more with a bronzer in summer!
5. L.A. Colours Hydrating Lipstick - $2.00
I also bought an L.A. Colours Lipstick in Paradise, which is a lovely coral colour. It was only $2 but I think it’s pretty good for it’s price. I’ve always dismissed L.A. Girls because of their cheap price but I may have to try out some of their other products to get an idea of how they are formula wise.
6. Jordana Glitters Specialty Nail Polish - $2.99 in Confetti
7 & 8. China Glaze Hologram Nailpolish - $7.99 in Get Outta My Space & Infra-Red
9. China Glaze Nail Polish - $4.20 in Naked
10. China Glaze Sunsational Nail polish $3.75 in Keepin’ It Teal
11. China Glaze Up and Away Nail Polish $4.20 in Re-Fresh Mint
I also bought a TONNE of China Glaze Nailpolish. China Glaze is not available for sale in Australia at this stage but hopefully it will be soon! I bought the following shades: Re-fresh Mint, Naked, Infra-Red (Holographic), Get Outta My Space (Holographic), Keepin’ It Teal and Material Girl. I also bought a Jordana Nail Polish in Confetti, a hot pink glitter lacquer. Keepin’ It Teal was the only one that I am disappointed with, because it seems really sheer - but it could look great with more coats. My two favourites are Material Girl and Re-Fresh Mint. Amazing colours/textures!
