Pink lipstick is the ultimate colour for lips. It is probably the very first lipstick that a girl (or boy!) will purchase, and it is always a staple in any person’s makeup collection. The thing is, there is SO MANY to choose from, it can be difficult to narrow down the good pinks from the not-so-good pinks. While everyone will have different preferences and needs, I thought I would share my Top 5 pink lipsticks that I swear by. NOTE: I haven’t included a hot pink, these are just my favourite lighter/medium pinks, not hot pinks :)

1. MAC Cremesheen in Hot Gossip - RRP $36

This was my first MAC lipstick purchase so it definitely holds a special place in my heart. This lipstick in my opinion is the best everyday lip. It can work for daytime, or nighttime, and I think the colour would work for a lot of different skin tones. The formula is to die for, it goes on so creamy and for me it lasts pretty much until lunch time. I apply this during the day twice. The colour is a beautiful medium pink, and it’s not too shiny, glossy or matte. It’s…just…perfection!

2. Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Cotton Candy 45 - RRP $21.95

This is probably the lightest pink that I wear. It’s a baby pink lipstick that is very moisturising, as you would expect from the Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters. Wearing baby pink can make you look washed out, but I think this colour is perfect for a light to medium skin tone. I wear this all through Spring when there is still a nip in the air, but I love the lighter colour after Winter. I love teaming this lighter lipstick with Nars Blush in Orgasm. The lipstick has similar gold highlights in it, but you can only see this in bright light (like the photo above).

3. Maybelline Color Sensational The Shine Lip Colour Juicy Pink 161 - RRP $16.95

Juicy Pink was one of the lipsticks that kicked off my love for the product. Before MAC Hot Gossip, this girl was my go-to. It’s by no means the same as Hot Gossip, and definitely more of a ‘Barbie’ pink. It also has amazing shine for a lipstick! The formula is lovely and moisturising and goes on like a dream. I’ve almost finished this lipstick, so I will be re-purchasing it once it runs out!

4. Rimmel London Lasting Finish by Kate Lipstick in 103 - RRP $12.95

The stand out point and the reason I chose this lipstick for this top 5 is because it is a matte finish. All of my other pink choices are very moisturising, and this one is the perfect rose pink that will last SO LONG. I love the matte lipstick look just as much as glossy lips, especially during Autumn and Winter. It’s very similar to MAC Hot Gossip, but because of the matte finish, it’s a completely different look.

5. Maybelline Color Whisper Sensational Lipcolor in Petal Rebel 60 - RRP $14.95

This lady is the newest addition to my lipstick collection, and it’s the perfect subtle almost-nude lip. It has an ever-so-slight pink petal colour (they named this lipstick well!) and I think it is absolutely gorgeous. A lot of people say that these lipsticks are too sheer, but I think it really enhances your natural lip colour.

I hope you enjoyed my Top 5 Pink Lipsticks, let me know what your go-to pink lipstick is, I would love to swatch it at my drugstore!

Much Love !!

Kate Xx
