Hello again! Time for another Violet Box unboxing! As always, I have filmed a ‘first impressions’ unboxing type video over on YouTube. Click on the video to check it out (and subscribe for updates on more videos!)

As you may be aware, I am currently doing a 100 Day Spending Ban on makeup and other necessities and it’s been going pretty well! That being said, I was more excited to receive my Violet Box this month because I haven’t had anything new for a little while (feels like a lot longer than it actually has been!)

P1090810

First in the box is the Vintage Cosmetic Company Floral Slanted Tweezers - RRP $14.95. I think these are absolutely GORGEOUS. I am in love with the floral vintage print! I do have some amazing tweezers that are still working amazingly, so I am going to pass these on to a dear friend who is cuckoo for vintage inspired prints.

Another product from The Vintage Cosmetic Company, is the Emery Board - RRP $4.95. It has the same lovely print, and would look just darling on my beauty desk! However, I don’t use emery boards. I use a glass nail file instead. So, I am going to gift this one as well :)

Next is NS - 5 Cuticle & Nail Complex - RRP $9.95. This is a cuticle balm that absorbs super fast into your skin to help with hang nails, ragged cuticles and split fingers. AM I THE ONLY ONE ALARMED BY THE PHRASE ‘SPLIT FINGERS’?? I’m sure it would have a regular meaning but that just makes me super cringe! I am looking forward to using this product nonetheless! It has no nasties like parabens, sulfates, etc. and it’s a cruelty-free company.

Sinful Colours Nail Polish makes another appearance in my beauty boxes this month! At only $4.95 - RRP, or $4 in Kmart if you live in my town, it’s not a particularly ‘high-end’ product to receive. However, the last colour I received Feelin’ Great was an amazing hot pink opaque formula and I was super impressed. This colour is called Hazard (!) and is a mandarin/coral shade. I really hope it lives up to my expectations of my new favourite nail colour for spring!

Eleven Australia’s Miracle Hair Treatment - RRP $24.95, has me pretty pumped to use as well! It’s meant to be super nourishing and delivers ELEVEN mysterious benefits to your hair! I did the hard yards for you and looked them up!

This unique all-in-one MIRACLE HAIR TREATMENT works to:
1. Add shine, smoothness and softness
2. Control frizz and flyaways
3. Moisturise
4. Strengthen fragile hair
5. Prevent split ends
6. Detangle and create manageability
7. Protect against heat styling
8. Enhance natural body
9. Repair dry damaged hair
10 Protect hair colour with UVA and UVB filters
11. Prevent chlorine and sun damage

So there you go! That’s a lot of really awesome benefits! I am really looking forward to this treatment now :)

Last in the box was Timeless Truth Q10 Caviar Nourishing Mask - RRP $7. This looks super fancy in it’s gold packaging, and promises to help reduce the signs of ageing. Hallelujah! I think using this will make me feel a little bit spesh.

And that’s it for the Violet Box this month! What are your thoughts on the products?

July 2013 | Violet Box

After seeing all the amazing launch boxes from the June Violet boxes, I simply had to subscribe to the newest Australian box on the scene! I got the box in the mail and it looks really adorable. If you aren’t familiar with the Violet Box, click here for more info!

The box is quite sturdy, so I will be using it for storage of some products for sure! It is also tied with a sweet lavender ribbon, tying in nicely with the boxes theme.
